Sunset through the Tule Fog, Allensworth State Park, 2019
I travel and celebrate the West.
I'm a born wanderer. I travel lonesome highways through verdant deserts, and grassy rolling oak covered hills, polished and deep red rock canyons, along gleaming green seas, and sparkling mountains. I camp and I walk and I breathe and I find joy and comfort and solace in nature.
I strive to experience, as Edward Abbey said, "The heartbreaking beauty where there are no hearts to break" in the West.
My desire, in these few pages, is to share what I have found, what I'm finding and what I seek. There are pictures and stories for those of us who seem to find our only true home in nature and in the American West. Join me!
I encourage you to go to the tab "Blog andTrip Reviews" to see what I've been up to lately. If you'd like to see my trips from the last few years you'll find those under "Travel Archives".
